The Real Website Challenge--Fraud or Non-Fiction?

Their are 5 websites I have to look at and only 1 of them is real so these are the answers:

  • http://www.dhmo.org/ - This I believe is a fraud because I've read through the home page and once I got to the bottom I read little writing that said "Note: content veracity not implied" which proves that it is a fraud.
  • http://www.petroldirect.com/ - This I think is also fraud because after reading the whole page on the left hand side I clicked on "LEGAL". Half way down the second paragraph it says, "Vin Diesel is a very entertaining actor, not a bio fuel." And that proves my point.
  • http://www.theaircar.com/acf/ - This I'm unsure of because it states, "On the accusations about disloyal competition and fraud, we must clarify that the recently founded company Air Car Factories S.A., property of Mr. Miguel Celades and other shareholders is, with the help of its own engineers and in collaboration with organizations of recognized prestige." I also heard on TV that they were starting to create an Air Car.
  • http://www.thedogisland.com/index.html - This is fraud because on the very bottom next to the copyright it has a button labeled "DISCLAIMER" and the first words on the page are, "This site (TheDogIsland.com) was made in jest, for fun for love of dogs and for love of life." Then goes on about how it isn't responsible for anything YOU do and that's my point on why it's fraud.
  • http://zapatopi.net/treeoctopus/ - Totally fraud because there are pictures that are totally fraud and on wikipedia it says that site is a hoax.

So that leaves only Air Car so it must be real.

I like your detail, your links to the pages, and the fact that you used quotes to support your ideas.
